Skills & Proficiencies

Systems Design – Prototyping, creating, revising, and rebuilding systems for games of all genres, sizes, and platforms, allows me to approach systems design critically and effectively, whether the goal is to build up features, pare down from having too many, or revise the ones that exist to better match their gameplay use.

Content Design – 2D and 3D level design, world design, story and narrative design, and quest content. I enjoy and excel at  weaving together assets, lore, and features into high-quality, memorable gameplay experiences.

Audio Design – Developing the audio aesthetic, using sound and music to create believable and cohesive environments, and maximizing immersion and solid gameplay interactions through audio cues and reactions.

Quality Assurance – Testing in blackbox and whitebox environments, designing and updating issue tracking lists, designing and running thorough test plans, and testing new features in detail before being committed. I am a QA miracle worker, and I regularly save entire sprints by tracking down elusive and insidious issues.

Project Management – Managing issue trackers like JIRA and Airtable, managing kanban boards like Trello, identifying blockers and assigning them as tasks, attending stand-up meetings, and meeting with investors.

Scripting – Working with C#, JS, and JSON files to create, shape, and extend gameplay content and features.
